I like to use this book as bedtime reading for Masia because in the end Olivia goes to sleep, so it is only logical for Masia to go right to sleep too. We read it at bedtime the day before yesterday. Masia was particularly interested in this part:

Next morning Masia was asking me for some dried cranberries. She loves them, but she can eat only very few of them at once because she is partially fructose intolerant. I told her: "You can have two cranberries, no more!", and Masia replied: "Eight!", and than added: "Like Olivia!" I gave her eight cranberries as her prize!
After that we played a little bit with shelled pumpkin seeds: I would suggest a number, Masia would negotiate for a bigger number, and it worked every time! Now I know that she doesn't repeat her numbers like a parrot, but really understands what they are about!
