В Бостоне я очень "удачно" сходила в салон красоты. Я сказала тетьке-эпиляторше убрать все волосы с лица, имея ввиду, конечно же, все ненужные волосы. У них там процедура называется "full face depilation". В общем, вьетнамская тетечка решила депилировать так уж депилировать, и не успела я оглянуться, как одну бровь она мне вырвала практически полностью. Вторую тоже пришлось выдергивать, но все равно она оказалась в два раза толще первой. Теперь я каждый день рассматриваю в зеркало брови.
Зато в том же салоне мне очень хороший массаж спины сделали!

1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
My eyebrows haven't grown back yet.
While in Boston, I very unfortunately visited a beauty salon. I told the depilating lady to remove all my facial hair, meaning, of course, all the unwanted hair. They have a procedure called "full face depilation". The vietnamese lady decided that depilating all means DEPILATING ALL, and in no time she depilated one of my eyebrows almost entirely. After that I had to have my another eyebrow depilated too, but it ended up twice thicker than the first one. Now every morning I look in the mirror at my eyebrows waiting for them to grow back.
Though, I've got a really great back massage in that salon.
2. How much cash do you have on you?
About 300 pesos.

I bought in New York China Town a watch with pink leather bracelet fo 10 dollars. I would prefer a similar one, but in orange or green. But they had it only in pink. I had left all my watches at home, and I felt very uncomfortable asking all the passers-by for the time. It looks very much like a real watch. I wonder for how long it will work.

Masia called the Tatiana impersonator "the girl", and her sidekick "her husband". That woman stopped being a girl about thirty years ago, and it is absolutely impossible to imagine that guy as someone's husband, so it was pretty funny.
The last song they sang was "Dale, dale, dale".

I know about one paternal great-great-grandfather. My dad in Moscow has his photo. He was so tall, for a while he used to work as a circus giant. On the photo he stands next to a horse, and he is significantly taller than the horse's head!

I googled him about half a year ago. Learned some fascinating things. For example, a bunch of his female students (he teaches in a college) started his fan website. They write things like "He'd be a great president of Russia!"
47. How far back do you know about your ancestry?
I know about one paternal great-great-grandfather. My dad in Moscow has his photo. He was so tall, for a while he used to work as a circus giant. On the photo he stands next to a horse, and he is significantly taller than the horse's head!
48. The last time you dressed fancy, what did you wear and why did you dress fancy?
The day of the EVENT, for which we went to Boston last month. I wore a black tiered Max Studio dress, black Bershka wedge shoes and an amber pendant necklace that I made.
